I went down and tested a few loads today. I got off the bags and shot Creedmore. The boolits he sent me weight 448 gr's and are the ones I had to use the Lee crimp die to get the checks to stay on. I used 4759, a tuft of dacron and the Fed 155 primer. I started at 24 gr's and worked to 26 gr's. 24 and 24.5 had some vertical but 25 tightened. 25.5 was a little better and at 26 gr's I got a nice 23/32" group. I kept using the same 2 targets and marked shots. I have some left and will increase for the next test.
The circled shots are 25 gr's and the ones with the arrows are 26 gr's. This boolit has a large meplat and would be super for hunting anything.
This was 50 yd's.

I'm glad they didn't spray all over the paper for you! Hotter seems to be the direction to go. If I get the check shank reamed out, I'll send you some more.
