After agonizing for over a week now, I decided to go ahead and buy it...the Winchester Legendary Frontiersmen 38-55. Never fired and comes with the box and all papers.

I have the Cowboy dies coming, got 150 pieces of new Winchester brass, a Lee mold so, I'm on my way. Now, to find CCI or Wincheser Large Rifle primers and IMR or Hodgdon 4198.

I'm sure I will. I always liked the cartridge years ago. I may cast some boolits from that Lee 379-250-RF this weekend to be ahead of the game.

Nicely done! Suspect some Rx7 will suffice if 4198 isn't around. Or maybe some FFg.

Good Cheer

RX7 is about as difficult as 4198...looked into that already. 5744 about the same situation. I do have some BP but no LR primers.

Yep, gonna fondle it a long time when it gets here.:)

4198 is very scarce I have been looking for it too.Rel 7 is a great choice if you have some.
