Was not sure where to ask this.
Anywho, I want to shoot some 312299's as cast at .3125, I think they will be the perfect size for my Finn M39 which has a .310 bore.
The problem is I install the checks by hand, but doing this the checks do not get sized.
The checks measure .318 - .320, this I think will really bulge my cases and most likely not even chamber as the same type bullet sized at .314 will not chamber.
What to do ?

Run them through a .3125 Lee sizer. I you don't have one they are easy to open up if you have a .311 or .312 you don't need.

Get a .313 sizer. Will crimp and size the check, won't touch the bullet.

Thanks guys
Lee does not make a .312 or .313 sizer
So I will order another .311
I do have a LEE .309 sizer I don't use, can I open it up or is that to far of a stretch.
How do I open up a sizer ?

Split rod, 400 grit wet/dry sand paper, someoil, and an old pair of jeans.

Wrap the paper around the rod after putting thru the slot. Add a BR of oil, put into sizer, roll up and down leg.

Check profess often by cleaning, pushing slug ru, and measuring. Takes a bit of time but works very well.

Will the .309 work or is that to far to go to .3125

Just a matter of how long it takes. I prefer to start as close to final size as possible.

Other option is to contact Buckshot on this forum, he makes a very nice custom sized Lee type sizer. It will be the size You want.

I just use the split rod in a battery drill run slow. The Lee is awful easy to lap, just size a boolit as you go until you get the size.
