I was to the Doctor this AM
On the way home , I drove past one of the places I have permission to deer hunt

I see someone at the place next door
I tried to get permission to hunt that place years ago
But got turned down

But I knew the farm had been sold this winter
So I stopped in to ask to ask permission

Turns out a high school classmate bought the place
He said OK

We talked for a while

He was getting ready to tear the house down

In the garage I see lead ingots and loose Linotype on the floor

He said take it all , he has no use for any of it

So I used a scoop shovel to load 30 or so lb of lino and put 50 - 60 lb of ingots of unknown alloy in a bucket
Also found 4 sinker molds that maybe salvageable and 2 boolit molds that are junk

In a few days I will go back and look some more
As there is tons of interesting stuff there
And sometime in June the place will be torn down

All from just stopping in to get permission to hunt :-D:-D

airc the name of the stuff is evapo-rust.

If it is a very old house there could be lead pipe and flashing.who knows seems like a lucky spot

Look for cast iron pipe's and crack them open for the pure lead.

Nope
He told me I will have the head acks forever

2 new meds to "HELP" control them
But I get to live with them

Got that , lead flashing off the roof and almost 100 more lb of ingots
Also some Army surplus stuff to play with

And as for saving the molds
I got the 2 haves apart of both the molds
Rust pits cover the whole inside of both

IMO Probely only good for a rebore to a larger size

That is what I would call a lucky day for sure. Hope I can turn up some luck like that in the future.
