Got a 6 cavity 430 tumbled lubed - lube and load - sorry it seems too easy.

9mm, my Ber 92 slugs at .357+

I have slugged the others, but a bullet dropping at .358 sounds like it would work.

Back to TL - Will a Lee 9mm @ .356 drop at .358?

I would love to just cast, lube, and load....

Lube - dripping Alox is nice.

Lead - WW and scrap Pb w/superhard from Rotometals - all about 12 Bhn

Thanks

Geoff, when I was using a Lee TL 9mm mold, it cast right at .358; I used them unsized in both 9mm and .38 special. #1 thing is to pull bullets after loading and make sure they are not being swaged down to .355 or .354 in loading process. If they stay up at .357 or so, you should be good. Then load those boolits to the slowest speed that will still function the gun, so that you are asking the least from your Lee TL. Hopefully more experienced guys will be along with more advice. LBS

Can't add much to what was written above, except to say that if you are tumble lubing, use plenty. It should have a visible sheen, two medium coats at a minimum, to minimize leading in the 9 mm. While target loads at lower pressures do OK with a light coating, the 9mm is a higher pressure round that needs more lube than one or two light coats can provide.

I have the Lee 124gr round nose TL design in 6 cavity. It throws bullets between 357 and 358 with COWW and a little tin added. My bore slugs at .355 so I size them to .356 and lube them twice like recommended above. I have shot several hundred out of my Sig 290 now and have yet to see any amount of leading.

With that alloy the bullets should drop at .357 - .358 or maybe larger from the Lee mould. Suggest alloy at 725 +/- for casting.
