Brunos has primers in stock but they are twice the normal price. It also says that there is a 27.50 haz mat fee per box shipped.

Glad to see that there are some starting to show up, but I'm not low enough yet to spend that kind of money. Hope this isn't a sign of what the prices are going to be when this thing blows over.

I bought some Winchester WLP for $39.99 locally this weekend because I figured that was the new standard price. The shelf was loaded with those and small rifle Remington. I was looking for small pistol but no luck on those yet. Still no sign of powders I use.

If people refuse to get ripped on the prices, they will come down where they belong. Simple. Don't get ripped. Mike

Exactly, this has all been done before.

There is no doubt gouging going on but in the case of Bruno's I seriously doubt they are. I think they are getting some primers at inflated prices just so they have a supply for the regular customers etc. The have a large and loyal following and I just can't see them as gougers.

My LGS had SPP's and LPP's last week (limit 1 -- so I had to settle for Remington SPP's the second day. About fell over when I walked out with CCI 500's on the first day). They were both selling for $29.99 "before" and $31.00 for the CCI's and $32.00 for the Remingtons. I asked, on the first day, "why are the Remingtons more expensive" and FWIW, the reply is that CCI raised their price by $1 and Remington by $2. And my LGS just passed those along.

LPP's were about $5 more then "before" but I didn't need any.

So if the shop was telling the truth to me.. which they probably were because I took my NRA Basic Pistol Instructor course with one of their two instructors and have a good rapport with them.. the wholesale price isn't even up 10% on primers.

All sold out now though.

my local gun store had plenty of LPP in stock. No restrictions on purchasing.
They were $35 per K
No SPP to be had at all.

My local gunsmith got a few SPP and LPP in a couple of weeks ago. He made it a point to say he charges suggested retail. CCI and Winchester brand. He had a list of folks waiting so he was calling us to let us know. 1K of each cost totaled $90+ with tax. I got them because I figured it was the same as buying online for reasonable and paying hazmat and I'll support the local guy when I can. Still haven't seen a SRP of any flavor since this **** started.

That is crazy right there.
Its like my buddy who bought two 550 rd boxes of 22lr for $110 shipped.
That's twice what it should be.

Lets see,HAZMAT FEE because powder and primers COULD explode.

HAZMAT FEE because a CO2 bottle MIGHT explode (even if empty)

And the latest I heard about

HAZMAT FEE on medical supplies containing IODINE just because others got away with it.

I hear Bruno's had a change of management. During the last shortage, they were on our side. Kept competitive prices and had a good stock.

Ya, Bruno is a gouger. They want $60 for 1000 CCI small pistol primers. They aren't bringing that on Gunbroker. Try using Powder Valley, Graffs, Midway or some other reputable vendor.
Same thing I hear at most places. My LGS is a nice guy I'm sure it's the wholesalers who are gouging him. Not the case according to the one guy here who seems to have primers, powder and piles of ammo at or near pre panic prices. I drive 30 miles one way to buy from his small shop and will continue to use those who aren't taking advantage of us all.

I visited Cabelas in Hammond In the other day and found BRICKS of 22 LR on the shelf.

I never heard of the brand but Cabelas was sure proud of them.

$99.95 per brick. 2 other old timers had the same response. Do not recognize the brand and WAY to expensive. Yes we all have bought target ammo before and would have recognized one of the quality names. They did have a box of 100 CCI brand but we were afraid to even ask what the latest EXTORTION price was.

I get down the mountain to Phoenix a couple times a month. I've been in Bruno's twice, and never bought a thing. Got Sportsmans Warehouse close by. I do OK there.

My local Hardware/Sporting goods store (Griggs in Pasco,WA) has CCI BR-4's in now, but they are 68.00/brick....since I just happen to work there part time(selling guns/reloading goodies), I had to see why... I checked the product info and they are priced way high from the distributors....the mark-up was the same as usual, which is pretty low to start with, so at least in our case the pricing is coming from up the line.
We've had a decent supply of small rifle & pistol primers, but haven't seen much large stuff recently......same with powder, and .22's, been pretty scarce.
The lack of .22 is what befuddles most folks......

Primers are starting to show up around here but powder is still a little iffy. Good luck finding handgun bullets! There are plenty of guns available but what has totally shocked me are the prices of older guns:
$800.00 Mark IV Lee Enfields !!!!! Really?
$800.00 + Walther P-38s - And I'm not talking about a pristine museum quality pre-war matching number P-38; These are beat up, pistols that look like they were made in 1945 while the Soviet Army was knocking on the factory door. I wouldn't pay $10.00 for them as parts guns.

When is this madness going to stop?
