it works. I have a Zouave 58 and enjoy it very much, but I have a bunch of 50 cal moulds (molds) whichever, so I went and bid on a in-line and got it for $65 + $15 shipping. well I looked again at the description .54 cal., hey dummy learn to read.
Well it got here and had no tools to take the thing down, so I took my Drimmel and a 3/8 socket (from Harbor Freight) cut the aproprate notch in it and I now have a take down tool.
The 54 is a tTriditions is clean and not at all hurt. The only thing it is an older one and uses the #11 cap. I can live with that, now to the range to try it out. Sure wish I had paid attention still have a bunch of 50 cal moulds.[smilie=1:

Good deal. I got a .50 CVA that came with the take down tool and the adapter to use the shotgun primer caps. I sure you could get the adapter for yours if you want. I don't care for my 50 but I would probubly use it for hunting if the chance ever came up. It's a little more weather proof than the old sidelock.

I have resisted getting a in-line as it just didn't look right, but I may try hunting with it. We can get three does and two bucks where I hunt, would like to take one with my Shiloh Sharp, 1867 rolling block, Zouave, M1 Garand, and this one.

Nothing wrong with #11 caps and they are really plenty of fire for a good, well-maintained rifle. Nothing wrong except they cost about 4X what they should!! :(

I like the RWS 1075+ and others are having very good results with the newer Remington caps. Just be sure to push that cap on the nipple nice and snug.

Hope she's a shooter.

Well I picked up some 54 cal sabot at the range, they leave them laying, and I have some 50 cal moulds and the rifle shoots 2" at 50 yds for 10 shots with a LEE "Real" bullet mould it isa a keeper. I am going out tomorrow and work at 100 and 200 yds.

Think you'll find those REAL's will drop off the accuracy about 175 yds.
At least my .54 1:38" CVA w/300gr REALs does.

Good luck, and have fun.
