Looking for some great recipies.
Am using 18grs of IMR 4227,
Any others that super accurate?

I dont have my data here with me but the 38-55 just shoots and it doesnt seem to matter what you pour in the case. Ill try to post some data when I get home.

Three favorites use the Lyman 280 grain gas checked flat nose cast of wheelweights, sized as large as the rifle will safely chamber & CCI large rifle primers. 19 grains 5744 = 1390, 28 grains H4895 = 1490, and 21 grains IMR 4198 = 1460. If you have access to it, there is an article in the April, 2001 HANDLOADER magazine with many cast loads using four bullets. Good luck-

My 'pet' load for my Uberti Highwall is a plain-based 304-grainer from an old NEI mould (lightly modified by Buckshot) over 20.3 gr. of IMR4198. Velocity in the 1390s and 2 MOA (or better) accuracy out to 300M.
