Is SRB-118 a spherical powder? More to-the-point, does it meter well in a progressive press?

I searched and found where someone posted that a load for this powder in .223 with a 68-gr bullet... I generally load either a 55-gr of 75-gr... any data with these other bullet weights?

Is $12.50 / lb a reasonably good price for this stuff?

Thanks,

It seems we talked about this one before. Use it as a H335 for starters in the 223, say 24 grains plus or minus. As with any ball powder in this speed range, up the load to where the the accuracy goes south, and then back down. Talking condoms here: Bullets, not Boolits. This powder is too slow for cast unless you get lucky downloading it which I would not do. ... felix

Thanks, yes... I assumed jacketed bullets since this was .223, but maybe not a safe assumption on this board.

I only found one previous post specific to this powder, which didn't answer all my questions.

Is there another BBS that might have more info???

I had a few jugs of SRB118. It is very close to H335 as Felix states. I usually ran out of case capacity in the 223 before any pressure sign. It was excellent in the the 30-30, 32 Win Special with cast and my 35 Whelen with 250 grain jacketed. Never reached top velocities, but accuracy was good.

I have been using SRB-118 and H335 or Bl-c(2) data is a good starting point for it. I bought several cans years ago and its been a good 223/308 powder using J-words.
