Mauser short side rail scope mount

Wondering if anyone had any experience with putting a short side rail scope mount on a Yugo M48 or 24/47 rifle.

Well there are good repro SSR and LSR mounts available currently .... but never heard of anyone wanting to put on on anything but a 98k. The only bugbear is the repro Zf39 scopes are low quality and period mil issue originals are costly , even pre and post war zf39 types are not cheap.

Found a couple of repro SSR mounts, and both can be had with the inserts to put a 1" scope in them. The more I think on it though, the more it seems like a bad idea. I'm probably better off just getting a rifle already set up for a scope. Sure like shooting cast 8mm in the 24/47. The eyes are telling me that it's time for optics though.
