I am looking for someone who is competent to do gunsmith work on a black powder gun I have. I have tried folks around Denver (where I live) but have not found someone who I thought did a good job

I have a San Marco 3rd model Dragoon pistol with an extended barrel and detachable shoulder stock. I need some fit-and-finish work done on it. The barrel wedge does not fit properly in the slot. The slot in the butt of the grip does not quite match the protrusion in the stock, so the stock and the grip don't line up properly.

Who is good out there?

Good luck Bart!

There may be a very competent black powder gunsmith in Denver area but they are few and far between almost anywhere. There is a gunsmith who posts on this forum (hoofharted?) that works at a place that does various black powder revolver services. Here's a link to his site. http://www.cartridgeconversion.com/Single_Action_Work.php

Maybe you can do a search on this site and find some of his posts and contact him with a PM.
