as mentioned in my previous thread I recently bought an original trapdoor rifle. well I decided to take the thing apart for its first clean in who knows how many decades. I gave the rifles parts a good soak in CLP and got every thing about as clean as its going to get without major restoration work which is actually pretty good looking. the problem came up when I began putting the gun back together. I cant get the dang ejector back in! I don't consider myself a weak guy but the spring that puts tension on the ejector is seriously powerful.
can any one tell me the trick to getting the ejector back in a 1884/1888 trapdoor rifle?
thank you
