There's a group buy going on. Anyone try this bullet in a Rossi 454? http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?197747-MiHec-454-308-Keith-two-or-four-cavity-HP-or-solid&p=2213243#post2213243

It measures .416 from meplat to crimp groove, which seems to long. Being a SWC, maybe it'll work?

Any info is appreciated.

maybe depending on the length from the crimp groove to the meplat.
I modified my 44 mag's cartridge lifter to take the 429241.
in my 45 colt I just seated the 454424 to the front driving band, instead of doing the modification.
the 358477 which is similar will feed through my 357 mag in the crimp groove no problems.

all this to tell you it depends on your individual rifle and what length it will feed.

I could tell you about more will's and wont's in the 92's but you get the idea.

I doubt it. A .400" long nose is cutting it close with a secant nose design and a .100" front drive band. I went with a .380" nose length in my Rossi 454 Casull. A tangent nose profile just clears at .380" nose length and a .340 meplat.

These are the two I put together:

The RCBS 45-270-SAA or the scaled down version of the mold you have in question 45 2.1's design of 454-280-SWC (Keith Style) does feed but it has a much shorter nose length with a .320" melplat and a .100" front drive band.
