Would appreciate comments/ criticisms of the current production pot-been casting (what little I've done last few yrs) with hotplate and iron pot/ dipper, would continue doing same for initial clean up melt. But getting into rifle as well as handgun, would like better temp control than "by-guess--by-gosh" now. Cant go the $$$ for Lyman or RCBS units, looks like lower cost to go Lee even if I have to add a PID. Your thoughts, please. Thanks

I use the Lee with a thermometer in it the whole casting session to monitor my temp. I don't load rifle so can't speak to those calibers but sounds to me like you are good to get started.
