You guys are a bad influence!, scored 7#'s of it just today!, I need to get it all smelted down into useable increments and off of the kitchen counter!
I've averaged right about $3 a # on the stash, I'm cheap and won't give more than that for it, I bet people think I'm crazy when I'm weighing a plate or mug on a kitchen scale at the GW or St. Vinnies!??
I've learned to NOT buy plates in a dark warehouse thrift store?, got one piece of "Rodgers Silversmiths" silver plated copper and one piece of "Holland Boon" ("MEXICAN Pewter!" aluminum), live and learn!?
This should sweeten a lot of wheel weights.

NICE!!!!! I do the same thing with the kitchen scale at the thrift stores, if they dont have one... I carry a digital scale in the car for emergencies...

That is really cool. Is there a stamp or identifier on the items listing them as 100% pewter?

I stopped by a yard sale and bought a big pewter serving bowl that must weight at least two pounds for five bucks. I really don't need a whole bunch more as I've been accumulating the stuff for a while, but I couldn't seem to pass it up. Only problem is it's a kind of a nice piece, I'll hate to melt it down someday.

Everything but the two tall candle sticks, the offering tray (the little frying pan look'n thing) and the big brown plate, it's an award of some sort?, they all pass the bend/scratch test and finger flick ring test too, I've even got the GF trained to look for it too!, in fact she found half of the 7#'s I got yesterday!
