I wonder how these very wide meplat bullets work in bolt action rifles. I think they were intended for lever actions. Does anyone have personal experience with this bullet in bolt guns?

Thanks in advance.

They work as well in my Swiss K-31 as the NOE 185gr borerider specifically designed for that gun, and feed and function flawlessly in my Saiga .308 from both the factory 10rd mag and Surefire 25rd mags.

Works great in my 336. I also run it in an 300 aac BLK ar15 with no issues. For reference I have a 3 cavity noe clone with standard lube grooves. Mine lubed and checked comes out about 169.5grs.

I have both the checked and unchecked versions and they feed well thru all of my bolt action well!

Shot these gas checked NOE 165 gr RD out of my Rem 700 30.06 at 100 yards about a week ago. Worked for me.

Flat points get damaged when feeding through my 03A3 mag. from the left side.
They shoot accurate but don't feed well from the mag.

hylander nailed it. Many rifles won't feed such from the left side when 5 rounds are in the magazine, especially milsurps like '03, Mausers, etc.

Feed without issue thru my Savage 110 '06 staggered feed.

Have to admit I was thinking "how do they shoot" and never thought about feeding from the magazine. They shoot fine from my rifle but since I was testing the round I was loading one at a time. When I get back to the range I'll have to see if they will feed ok.
