I broke down and picked up a pair of micarta grips and it was my lucky day they needed no fitting. So I headed to the range. The uncle mike's grips that come standard are very skinny and require long fingers. The micarta grips are much wider and spread the recoil out a lot better and since my fingers can reach around the grip I can actually hang on to the gun and the gun looks so much better. So for those on the fence if you can hang onto a Ruger super blackhawk you'll approve of the micartas for me it was worth the money.
