I bought this book. Ballistic products will show you which wads to use.
Has helped some

120grains black is "max" (for me at least!) and then shot equivalent ie. same volume of shot as powder.
Remember that the actual caliber of the thinwalled brass is 11 gauge not 12 so standard wads are out.

You end up using 10ga wads. I use a cotton dobber dipped in melted BP lube to hold my top card on. I have used only brass shells for my Bp shotguns for the past five years, very easy to use and good results.

Here is what I've gotten and use to load them.

Magtech 12 gauge brass shotgun shells are for 2.5" long chambers and accepts large pistol primers. Uses Buffalo Arms 10 gauge overshot wads #CFOS and 11 gauge Nitro (#CFNITRO) and 11 gauge fiber wads (#CFFIBER). You can substitute RMC11FIBER 1/2" Ox-Yoke Prelubed 11 Gauge Shotgun Fiber Wads Bag of 500.
