A good friend has salvaged a Winchester 320 .22 and no mags available in this country, is there another Winchester model mag that will fit.

I'll check my resources and see what I can find.

It seems that the rifle was made in Australia by the company that later became Kimber and sold under the Winchester name. The model 300, 310, and 320 all use the same magazine. They came in 5 and 10 round configurations. There was also a model 325 in 22 RF Mag. There are several Magazines for sale here in the U.S. but that doesn't do you much good in Oz, Unless you can get it shipped to you without hassles with the law. Hope this helps.

No other Winchester mags will work however the mag is the same as some of the early Kimber magazines. The mags were referred to as "key hole" due to their shape. I believe you could google it and find the model of Kimber that was the same. I bought a spare for my 320 about five years ago. At that time the mags were still available in the U.S. and the 10 round was more common. I found an original Winchester 5 round.

Thank you Gents, yes the actions were made by Sportco, but it seems Winchester fitted or had the company make a different mag well than the Sportco. Since this rifle after cleaning up will shoot half inch groups at 25yrds it is worth the work. Friend has a second Sportco mag and it needs a little modification to make it work, much better to modify the mag than the rifle.

The above rifle used a Type 2 Magazine which was the same as the Sportco 66s.

Gold Coast Shooters Supply has reproduction magazines for $60AUD

By the way lovely little rifle.
