finally the time of year for fresh ramps (wild leeks). ramp burgers, ramps and fried potatoes, boiled ramps, raw ramps on bread with butter. mmmm, ramps.
anyone else love this time of the year as much as i do?
fresh trout, ramps, morrells and spring onions. hello spring[smilie=w:

Yessir! Ramps, morels, ostrich fern fiddle heads, fresh asparagus, dandelions, and nettles. All good spring treats.

There was a Ramp fest held in or near Erwin Tn. some years back not sure if it's still being held.

Ramps are about done here. Starting to turn. Here is a pic for you all who like them. My buddy has a woods that is plugged with them every year. Can't take a step without trampling some.
