I thought I knew how to search the site, but did not find any 7-08 BOOLIT load data.

Want some accurate but low powered loads to give a youth some (bunch) of low recoil trigger time.

Lee 130 sp gas checked with 16.8 grains of IMR 4759 out of an encore is one of the most accurate cast boolit loads I've ever shot.

Cast or jacketed loads? I've worked quite a bit with the cartridge with 120 to 130 jacketed and it's not picky. Fantastic for training beginning shooters. I would be happy to make some suggestions based on bullet/boolit weight and desired velocities.

I load the Lee soupcan over 14.0 gr. of 2400 and it's working out great for me. 1/2" 50 yd. groups from a Stevens 200 in 7mm08.

Here's a start. Use 7mm-08 in you search string.

I used 11 grains of ACC 5744 behind 120 grain cast GC bullet. Very mild and accurate in my Rem. 700. Need to load some more and try them again.

I shoot 130 Lees over 20.0 gr 4759 & 160 Lymans over 23.0 4759 in a Savage Striker. A lot less recoil than Jacketed hunting rounds , might try some Unique in it as well. The loads I've listed are from the Lyman 49th

I did the same for 2 friends sons rifles both Rem model 7s in 7mm/08

5744 powder & Speer 110gr HP TNT, Testing @ 50 yards with 5 shot groups and 2x7 Leupold scope

16gr @ 1,398 fps--1 7/16 group
17gr @ 1,507 fps-- 7/8 group
18gr @ 1,556 fps--13/16 group
19gr @ 1,650 fps--9/16 group
20gr @ 1,737 fps--1/4 group

4895 or 4064 under the Lyman 287641 160gr bore rider boolit. Start out mild and work the load either up or down a grain or two to fine tune. Lyman says to load between 29.5 and 35.3 for IMR-4895. The Lyman 48th Handbook has published data for both the 287346 & 287641 boolits. Stay within the publish guidelines.

I hope this helps,

Thanx Ric

I was not using the mm in my searches just various permutations of 7 and 0 and 8.
