I like it. Please tell me they don't make one in .45 Colt.

Nice looking Ruger. If it's got Talo, or Lipseys paperwork, either one, it's going to be built right.
Keep in mind, just because it' says 44 magnum doesn't mean you have to load it like a magnum. You can attenuate loads using 44 mag brass and keep velocity hovering around 1000fps for a very comfortable and accurate plinker load. Or run it full snort and have all the benefits of a 44 mag.

Have an old Lee 215 grain full wadcutter mold I think will work with 7 or 8 grains of Unique.

My wife saw one at a gun show last year and had to have it. Bought it and shot it that day. That night I tried to look it up online and it wasn't on the Ruger website. The next day, it was. The test cartridge was 2 weeks old. Really a very nice piece. That same day she did some horse trading and got me a Vaquero in 45 Colt. I think she did that so I'd leave her new baby alone. It's almost working.

Nice. I'll bet that 3 3/4" barrel makes that one right snappy :)

Nice. I love the short barrel revolvers. They work nicely on a belt holster.

Speaking of that, the short barrel won't exactly fit any holster I'm aware of. Any ideas on that score without spending a ton of money?

What's a ton of money? Lots of holster makers out there that can do pretty much what ever you want, for 60-100 bucks. Ted Blocker, El Paso Saddlery, Simply Rugged, etc.

Give Springfield (vendor sponsor) a holler. He makes top notch stuff and his prices are reasonable.

I would LOVE to see one of those in 45 colt. I have a Mihec 270-SAA with hollowpoint/solid pins I could feed it...

Help me out, guys. I'm trying to get some Pachmayrs for the Talo. Seems they're all for square trigger guards. The Talo .44 SBH has a round trigger guard and I favor Pachmayr's Presentation grips. Anybody know a solution? Will the regular Blackhawk grips work? Trying not to buy several to find one that works. Can't find any locally to try out.

Airman,
I have a Lipsey's model 44 mag like yours. I really like mine so far. I haven't order a holster yet but I have 3 of the Simply rugged holsters and thats what I am planning to have made for my Lipsey's model. The holsters I have are for an SP 101 Ruger, S&W 637,and a Glock20 and they all work well. Have not put any thing real warm through my pistol yet but I do have a Lee 310gr mold I may try some time. Mine is a little snappy with factory 240 gr even with the Bisley grip.Have fun with your Talo!

The standard Blackhawk grip should fit. Call the maker to be sure.

I've ordered the standard Blackhawk Presentation Pachmayr. We'll see if it works. With all the Ruger grip frames I've Googled, figure my odds are about 50-50 it'll fit.

That's EXACTLY what I said about those! It would be an easy enough conversion to .45 Colt.

The standard Blackhawk Presentation Pachmayr fits. MUCH more comfortable shooting, and it doesn't look half bad.71015

NO, NO, NO guys, wonderful gun. A little short for my hunting needs but it will not be too much to shoot anything.
Makes my mouth water.
The SA action is like the most beautiful woman but you can buy the gun and just stare at the woman!
