how to refinish aluminum reciever

I have a Agawam 22 lever action rifle here with the reciever and lever heavily oxidized. I have some Brownels dura paint in black. Any one have any tricks to making this aluminum look purty again? The metal parts I plan to use slow rust bluing. I have very extremely limited expierence with aluminum.

clean it up and anodize it. there should be a bunch of how to's out there.

thanks pietro, I read the article and went forward and did the job. It came out nice but it still is a cheap gun, only now its a better looking cheap gun.
