I can speak for the CB-12s3, no they do not have ridges inside the pedals. But, the pedals seem a little thinner and more softer or more supple. If you are considering putting a slug in them.

Hello Mike, do not waste your money on imitation wads, look around and you will find them try MidSouth, Nanchez etc but only buy the original, your choices are:

for Lee Drive Key slug in wad or for Lyman 525 slug in wad:

Mike, I've used the 12s3's in AA-HS hulls with both Lee 1 ounce slugs and .678"(casts about .680") round ball. I've used a .125" nitro card with both the projectiles, as well.

IMO wad performance has a bit to do with the chamber in length and probably how it was cut along with reloading styles. Also, so many other variables. The AA hull is a tapered hull and the fed wad is for the straight hull. So, it does/should work. Especially if you have a big slow bulky powder charge. If you use the AA hull and supply a big bulky slow powder charge to the hull, it might come above the taper. Which the AA style wad will not be able to seal to its full ability. And may/probably leak powder up and around the wad while in the crimped or rolled hull stage. Ajay could chime in on this scenario with examples of a few pics that I know he has to explain a little better what I am trying to mention. So, in essence the fed (or straight hull wad) wad should/could prove to be the better choice. IMO
