I cast the RCBS 30-180-FN-GC. It's 190 grs. ready to shoot. I use a M-94 Winchester .30-30. I want to use 2400 powder. Suggestions and comments?
My old Lyman Manual has nothing with this powder, thus the question.

Lynn,

I'm shooting the 311041 in my 1950's 94 with 16.0 gr. of 2400 with Winchester LMR primer. Velocity is 1670 fps and is more accurate than any jacketed bullet I've tried in this rifle. You might want to start and about 14 gr. and workup since your bullet is a little heavier.

Isn't 17Gns of 2400 the ledgendary MAGB load? That is the make any gun go bang load. I have tried it in several cases and it works a treat.

LAH: I use a Lyman #311041 with 25 grains of IMR-3031 In a Marlin 36 with a 24 inch barrel, 1775 FPS. Shoots very well.

I use 22 grs. of the same with the RECB 30-180-FN. It's a tack driver but I want to go with 2400 for other reasons if possible.
