I finally snagged a SAECO RG4. I've wanted this for years and never ran across an affordable mould. Now to put a rifle together around it!

Cast and see what the dimensions are. Jumptrap's got one that's big as a barn. Hope yours is better proportioned./beagle

Is that the 30 cal 190 - 200 gr tc bore ride bullet ?

If so I shot some of those last year
As cast my freinds mould drops a .311 bullet

We'll have to see what dimensions are when the USPO delivers it. Yes it is the 30 cal 190 gr TC design. If it casts a little fat, that's fine by me. I can size down, but bumping is a different proposition. I always admired the design for target shooting, although I have read of guys hunting deer with it. Maybe that '17 Enfield barreled action I'm trying to get will fit it.

Bret, Beagle's right about the dimensions in the sense that they are inconsistent. I bought a little used Cramer (Saeco's predecessor) RG-4 several years ago that had a .300" nose (barely) and ~.3085" body. Unfortunately, my .30-06 likes CB's considerably larger.

.............I have an RG4 that goes .310 (and a few tenths) and .301" on the nose. Several months back was my first use casting with it. My habit with bore riders is to tumble lube them before lube-sizing. Loaded then up for the Ruger M77 30-06. Very neat to feel that long nose SLiiiiiiiiiiiide up into the bore.

I don't recall the dimensions as that's been a copuple of years ago but it was plenty big sized down for the 7.62 X 54R "mossys" he was playing with.
