I recently did some birm mining and got about 150 lbs of range scrap. I was cleaning the scrap and found some, I'm guessing leadsafe bullets (they had a red clay like center inside the jacket). When I smelt this range scrap will these bullets screw up the melt like zinc will (I did pull out all the ones I saw). Or will it just float or burn off during the smelt? Lead is getting harder to come by and I don't want to mess up a good melt!!

Since you're concerned, do a small melt and add the questionable bullets.
They are probably sintered copper or bronze and will float to the top as you flux and stir. At a couple of $ per pound, start saving them.

they could be sintered tin and copper.
i'd pull a bunch and see if anything melts from them.

I had a few when I melted a 100lbs of berm pickings. They floated, nothing seemed to come out and the lead came out good. I didn't let them sit there and try to get them to melt though.
