Help with formula/alloy ratio

I'm trying to achieve a 12-15 Bhn using Monotype and lead sheeting off a roof. I have not used Monotype before and want to make sure I am correct in my understanding. I saw the lead alloy calculator sticky (which is a great tool btw) but I wanted to get some advice from more experienced casters before mixing anything. Thank you in advance.

Everybody likes their own thing! I like 2% Sn, 3% Sb, 95% Pb for pistols, Lyman #2 for rifles. But, if you want to do it simply just use 3 parts Pure Lead (your Lead sheeting) to one part Monotype. Melt the lead in your pot, then add the mono and flux with pine sawdust at around 700 degrees F.

That will get you an alloy of about 2.25% Tin, 4.75% Antimony and 93% Lead. The BHN will be between 13.5 and 14!

You can do a small batch of 3 lbs. lead to 1 lb. Monotype to test it out, then scale up as your needs and equipment dictate.

Then you can Schuetzum More!

If you want to try my pistol alloy, then use 5 lbs. of the Lead, 0.95 lbs. of the Monotype and 0.07 lbs. of 50/50 solder for Tin balance. You'll get a great alloy at 2% Tin, 3% Antimony, 95% Lead and a BHN of around 12. It casts and shoots great!
