View Full Version : RCBS Lube sizer...is this bent?

Just got this unit new a week or so ago & can't say I noticed this earlier until today.

This thing seems built like a tank & I can't imagine my massive 180lb self bending the bracket the handle mounts to.
Or is it supposed to be slightly off center for 2 handed operation? Ergonomics?
I'm thinking it's bent.

That bracket is formed sheet metal. It was just formed crooked before the threaded insert was spot welded to it. You did not bend it.

That appears to be the right handed model.
Pressure applied with left hand while center hand deals with the bullet.

Just wondering, how many hands do you have?
I have a right hand & and a left hand, but no center hand.

I didn't think I bent it. Hell I tried pushing it left & man, theres NO WAY it's going anywhere without a blow from a hammer.
It doesn't effect anything so I'm just going to leave it. Hell it took me over a week to even notice it.

I`d say that you call RCBS about it. They have a great no fault/no blame repair policy.Robert

It was bent prior, I have the same damaged part. If the little round black plastic ball on the press. handle is in line with the lever handle and pushed out a little it will hit the plastic ball on the upstroke and bend it to one side.

right hand, center hand, left hand, other hand, helping hand, two hands, one hand,
hand in glove, hand in hand, two hand hold , one hand hold, week hand strong hand,
to many hands.

No Sir, I do not. Other than a slightly cockeyed handle it runs fine. A call to rcbs would get me a new part but theres no need to.
