These have been showing up lately in my range lead . Always broken and never melt . This has been through the pot and the heat has not touched it . Any idea what it is made of ? Marvin

I've noticed them here and there as well. Won't melt at all, but hitting them with a hammer fragments them. My best guess is a copper based lead-free or frangible bullet.

Yep, sintered copper/bronze lead free bullets. On the bright side, they won't contaminate your melt (there are zinc shotgun slugs around, those are worse if you run your melt hot).
