Christmas Came Early........

Several years ago when I was watching Doug Knoel work on my Rolling Block and getting started with black powder cartridge/muzzle loading I noticed his de-capper. He said he made them and I asked if I could get one when he had a chance to make up some more. His health is pretty bad now days and when I got a telephone call this past Wednesday with him saying he had one for me I was very happy! Went and got it today and I am honored to be the owner of one of these now and hopefully will put it to good use!

absolutely nothing compares with a small treasure from a friend that is useful also. I have a copy of the old "pope" style...actually 3 of them...and I thoroughly enjoy the action when in use and enjoy the old timey way it makes me feel as I use them for de-priming and priming again...even tho it is slow as far as modern production priming devises...these old time style things add to the fun and feel of doing what we do.
