how do you guys size (using a lyman 4500/LAM) gas check bullet designs without using gas checks?

i have a feeling i will have to alter the center punch of the die to fit the bullets gas check area.

Put the gas checks on first, then size.

i mean if you don't use a gas check on a gas check design bullet, how do you prevent the lube from screwing up the end of the bullet, i'm not wiping off every single one.

I use a Star Lubrisizer and only put the lube where I want/need it.

I do the same as rick.

you might be able to block the bottom area off from picking up lube with some Styrofoam meat tray stuff some guy's have good luck with it and bevel base bottoms.

even if you get some lube in the area for a gas check, it wont hurt any thing. worst case if its soft lube, is that your powder will stick to it.
i have lubed non gas checks before and they shot just fine. i do use a hard lube
