Hi folks,

Some time ago I acquired a Kommission 88 Karabiner (Kar88).

This little carbine has all numbers matching and is in quite good original condition, with no parts missing except for the extractor.

I´m trying to find a replacement for it. Right now I´ve only seen Kommission Gewehr88 (long rifle) extractors for sale,
but I´m not quite sure if those ones are identical to the Kar88 extractor that I´m looking for.

Does anybody knows if both Kommission88 extractors (Kar88 & Gew88) are identical/interchangeable?

I would also like to obtain a good book to learn more about this Kommission rifles, could you please recommend one?

Thanks in advance.

This is the only book that I know of on the 1888 Commision Rifle

I don't have one and haven't read it so, I can't say if it's worth the price.

I have 5 of them (plus two barreled actions) including a excellent sporterized, double set trigger KAR. I learned what I know on '88 web sites and the bolt heads and extractors are the same on the KAR.
