Can anyone explain to me how to tell the difference between large and small 310 handles? :confused:

Depending on length of the case and manufacturing variation in the dies themselves, some cartridges can be loaded on either size handles if there is sufficient adjustment there.

In addition, there were some small diameter dies for little cartridges such as the 25-20 SS available back in the old #3 dies, and some larger diameter dies late in the 310 development for larger diameter cases. They are way less commonly encountered.
