Old Win 94 and New NEI boolits

Ok the 357 180gr GC NEI mould throws these boolits and then I threw them down range. I need to chrony this to see what I get.

.................Looks like it shold also easily maintain an inch at 50 yards too. That big FN should make it a dandy hunting slug. Cuts a hole like a WC almost.

Is that the 358-180 group buy you were putting together? I've been too busy to keep up on things. Looks like it shoots great in your gun though. Any feeding problems in the Win?
Quickload doesn't have Lil-Gun in it, but I'm guessing around 1700fps?

No feeding problems at all! I was using 357 mag cases, but I modified my feed rails to accept 360 Dan Wesson brass and they feed slick with this boolit too!

I'll try to get the chrony up for it soon, I'm curious too!

Yes it was the GB I put together.

I may run it again if there is enough interest.

Measuring group size is hard to pin down so I came up with my own shortcut that I think is pretty accurate. Take the two bullet holes farthest apart; Measure from the outside of one to the inside of the other. That gives you a pretty accurate measurement because you're working with two very discernable points, not trying to guess the locations of centers of holes.

actually with 15 gr of Lil gun and that boolit I'm about out of room for powder, the 360 DW give enough room for about 5 more grains I suspect. But two more will probably put it at max.... so I have good room in the 360 with that powder.

hey Blammer what are you gonna do to pull in that flyer? :kidding: Im looking for a 180 RNFP with gas check for my rossi and it looks like I just missed out on a group buy. Is the mold you're using custom?
any info how to get a mold like that would be apreciated. BTW what barrel length is your 94?

With the 187 Cast Performance WFN GC, WSPM, 360 cases and LG, 18.5 gave me best accuracy @ 1968fps

19 grains was 2040 fps, but accuracy was comprimised.

I tested 15 - 20 grains. LG does not do well compressed, accuracy goes and fps drops around 100% load density.

The best accuracy with the 207 JTL WFN PB is with 17.5 grains @1875 fps

With what's available to you, I'd go with Alliant 2400 or whatever they might call it there.
