What are you guys doing to make your mags work with the BO? I understand that the Lancer war fighter mags are supposed to work with no modification but there are none to be had anywhere that I can find. I thought about running a mill cutter down the front groove for a couple inches to make room for the longer boolits. Thought that I would ask before I potentially ruined a good mag. I would think that just an inch or so would be enough to allow proper alignment at the top.

With my 311299 loads (and 110-125 jacketed loads) I've found a C-products stainless 30 round functions fine with 25 loaded, a 20 round Thermold does fine with 18 loaded. My 20 and 30 round PMags need the rib filed or sanded down quite a bit.

With the PMags I have a couple that won't hold the bolt open after the last shot and a couple that always hold it open. Since I know it's a mag issue and not a load issue, it doesn't bother me a bit.

Thermolds don't seem to hold 223 securely but do ok with 300BLK. I only would use them at the range anyway where I wouldn't carry spares in my jacket pocket.

I don't really care for 30 round mags, they just hang too far and weigh too much so I use my 20 round PMags most of all.

I have been using 20 round GI mags and a Colt 5 rounder with no issues. The 20 round Thermold mags seem to need a break in period but after that they work good.

I have no issues with d&h GI mags and green anti tilt followers. Also good luck with lancer 20's. Works with accurate 310240e subs and every jacketed load I've tried. Pmags have been hit and miss. I also have one AR stoner 10rnd, no anti tilt follow, will not feed subs.

Thus far I have had no problem using either aluminum or steel standard issue AR/M16 mags with mine. Just keep the OAL so it fits inside the mag and will feed. Only problem mags have been PMags, but I use those in my 5.56.

The mags I have are the GI and the follower does tilt enough that the bolt rides over the case rim. It only does it on the last couple rounds in the mag.
