Fort Frederick Trade Fair??

Just curious as to who all might be going to the Fort Fred. this weekend. I haven't missed one in the last several years and plan on being there Fri. and Sat. for a spell. Hope to make Dixons this year as well..been absent there of late. Audie....the Oldfart..

Where is Fort Frederick?

Western Washington County, Maryland. About 1½+ hours west of Baltimore/Washington. Restored stone French and Indian War fort, Maryland state park.

Google up Fort Frederick Market Fair. I'm shocked...shocked I tell ya that more folks aren't attending this. Far as I know it's the biggest pre-1840's event east of the Miss.! The above mentioned site will list the vendors, and they are many, as well as events, times etc. Also, on Sat. and Sun. it's open to all...no need for period correct dress. And I've attended on Fri. when there were loads of folks not in p/c attire. Personally I don't care what ya wear...if ya'll would see some of the 300lb. indians walking around down there in a breechcloth you'd probably prefer they wear bibbs. There is an entry fee as there is in all Md. parks and I think it's $5 or something...don't recall. Hope ya'll can join me. Audie...the Oldfart..

IMHO...Used to be a good event years ago..... Somehow things have changed and prices are inflated since it is the First ML gathering for the season.
