I purchased these as part of a package for .38 Special reloading. Do these need lubrication of some type or can they be reloaded as is?
Thanks in advance for the help!68098

They're already lubed with a solid lube much like .22 rimfire bullets. That's why the SWC is knurled- the knurling holds the lube. The Speer WCs are lubed all over.

^What David said. The speer wad cutter is a great bullet! I have shot many single jagged holes with them in my 686.

David2011 / Chilmonty - I plan to use the following load data. Any thoughts?
For the Hornady 158gr SWC
Bullseye 2.8 / 3.1 / 3.4 - Try a few of each powder weight - 3.7 gr is max so I will stay away from that.
COL 1.455"
Light factory crimp
Federal SPP #100
For the Speer
Bullseye 2.1 / 2.4 / 2.6 / 2.8 - 3.0 is max so I wont go there either
COL 1.180"
Light factory crimp
Federal SPP #100
Using Lee classic single press and Lee 4 die set.
Thanks for the quick reply!

those 2.6-2.8 gr loads will do the job just fine, never mind a crimp.
