A little confusion on sizing after casting. I have read that some do and some dont. My cast bullets measure .245 from the cast. Recommendations from manuals say .244 BUT have read that some shoot better without sizing. Opinions and what you guys actually do would be greatly appreciated.

I shoot em and see what works best. If it does not work change ONE thing and try again. I would really be confused trying to size before casting.:veryconfu

The one sizing die that is exactly the right size for your barrel is YOUR BARREL.

never mind what the book says to size to.
unless you sent them your rifle for the testing.
since you are stuck with what you have, make a dummy round seated out as far as reasonable and try chambering the round.
this gives you an idea of what will work and what rubs/hits what.

if the boolits are round and actually 245 i'd use a sizer that size to apply gas checks.
