Perusing thru the local Craig's list and spotted something that caught my eye ...
made a phone call and the man said "come get it !"..
Don't really need it as I already have a Lee 20, bottom pour and a nice older lyman ten lb. bottom pour but at the price he stated ..... had to , could not ignore it.
Besides it is full of lead also .. if the lead is any good , will have to find out ...

Awesome find! :coffeecom

I'm still waiting on my great find..... some estate sale of a treasure trove of molds, or a chance meeting with some old plumber who piled a train car full of old lead pipes in the woods behind his shed, or the retired printer who still has a basement full of lino.... or

(I'd settle for finding a lost (actual lead) WW in the WalMart parking lot)

I did pay a certain amount ..... forty dollars , as I was looking thru the ads , another individual was posting , "wanted , lead bars , will pay $1.50 a pound".
figured if I take the lead out of it , roughly 18 lbs and sell it back to the to the the $1.50 man ...:drinks:

Now now, no reason to be greedy. Besides, you will probably regret selling the lead later.

Nice find. A couple of my Lyman moulds would be perfectly happy hanging out with that Lyman furnace. My Lee moulds are quite happy with my Lee bottom pour. Go figure.

Yeah , I wonder how Miha's brass molds will work with the dipping technique and have to figure out what brand of dipper or ladle to get ....

My MiHec brass mold likes dipping. I just use the Lyman dipper.

Hey , how about that .. have the same mold from Miha ..;)
Been using it for quite a while now in my 586 , loves it ..
All my brass molds are his and the latest is the 30 sil hp I picked up a while back and kind of looking forward to see how it works , ladle vs bottom pour ....
Don't tell any one but it looks like I might be going "both ways" ...[smilie=1:

Wow ! .... heated this puppy up today to see how things work with the existing lead that is in it.
The melt was in the right temp range for lead but when I dropped the first ones with my dipper ....
they came out shiny as a mirror ! ( using a Miha 30 sil hp mold)
I have never had any melt drop like that , so I deduced it must be an extremely tin rich alloy that was in the pot in the first place.
I have dipped out about 10 or 12 pounds into 1/2 pound ingots and will save for future alloy mixing .
Was on my way back from Washington , got off the plane in Reno and my usual stop by Sheels or Sportsman Warehouse and guess what Sportsman had on the shelf ... a RCBS lead dipper , that made my week end but the shelves look even more bare with no primers or powder to speak of ..
