Folks,

I'm about 6 weeks out until I retire from the Army here in Kansas and in pretty much all probability move to the Indianapolis, Indiana area.

With that, I am looking for a listing of gunstores in the area that maintain a stockage of primers and powders so I can develop a relationship with the local gunstores that are worth supporting with my funds.

I'm interested in Mom & Pop stores more than chain stores as I think that supporting the smaller stores is more worthwhile that supporting an out of state corporation.

I used to have a good listing of small shops while I was in college there 15 years ago but I'm not confident the list is current at all.

Lots of info here for you Bruce.

Many there highly recommend the shop on the north side.

I'm not really up to speed on the Indy metro area but Darrel's Custom Firearms in Cayuga ('bout an hour southwest of Indy) are good folks to deal with and seem to maintain about the best reloading inventory in the area.

Beat me to the punch JC. Was going to post the same thing.
There used to be a guy called azerigan on there who had a shop with reloading supplies. I don't get on there much anymore, so I don't know if he's still on there or not.
I bought brass off of him before, and it was a good dealing.

Thats the one they talk about on INGO all the time, I've never been there but he is highly thought of. I just couldn't remember.

Excellent information on Profire. I'm a member of INGO forum now as well. I was surprised not to see a lot of information on Bullseye Pistol or Highpower Rifle in the competition forum. I'll start raising the awareness level on those sports once I start shooting in the state this summer.

Up North here in Elkhart & St. Joe Counties Bullseye is very popular. Plus our out range in Bristol has just installed overhead berms to allow High Power shooting. We also have the NRA Metric Smallbore matches coming up this summer 3rd year I believe.

Was at PSS this weekend. They had large cannisters each of Win 296 and Varget. I picked up a 1lb. of Universal Clays for the 20. They were completely out of primers except for Remington 9 1/2 LR Magnum and a partial of CCI LR magnum.

Boyscout,
I found Plainfield Shooting Supplies today. Picked up a 1000 LR Primers (CCI) and a pound of American Select Shotgun powder to try with cast and 12 gauge shotshells.
Just 6 miles from the house in Brownsburg as well!!!

Some day look up YOUNGS rifle range. 1K yards and great folks. Even heated enclosed shooting area.
