Just bought this little Ruger No.3 in 7x57mm Imp (28deg) as a lightweight deer rifle. As the hunting area is closely settled I will develop a cast load using the RCBS 145gn silhouette boolit

Looks nice. I see the forend was modified to get rid of the barrel band. I am considering doing that to mine.

That's a sexy looking rifle. It should be easy to carry.

It's beautiful.

I was always tempted to rebarrel mine to .257 Roberts, 7x57 or 6.5x55 but it shot its original .223 chambering so well that I didn't have the heart.

the number 3's are so nice. They are nice and light and just have a classy look to them.

Nice rifle! I would like to have one in .357Mag. Methinks that would be a fine stalking rifle.

Tim357, I just happen to be in the process of rebarreling my #3 in 22 Hornet, to .357 mag. I'm waiting to get my modified reamer back from Clymer.

Oh my! That is just lovely. I always wanted a light classy single shot like that one. I bet it shoots well too.

Well Sir, I will be looking forward to a range report. I believe the only thing cooler than a #3 357, would be a double rifle, scaled to the .357. Good luck on your project!

Nice, I love the #3. I managed to get Standard #1 wood to put on mine.

How about a #1 in .357 :). I managed to get my hands on one of the non-marked CHP overruns a while back.
