After battling with a couple of leaky Lee 10lb pots for too long, I have aquired a nearly new Lyman mag 20. Is there anything I need to know or do before I fire it up?

Thanks

Do not stick yer finger in the melt to see if it's hot enough!

I'm using a well worked over Mag 20 after tossing my last Lee against the wall, ( it stopped heating up at all after the third use). My Mag 20 has been great, but will drip a little if you don't tap down on the handle after a pour. The needle valve likely needs a cleaning, but the quick tap down on the handle has become second nature. I think you'll like it.

I don't think that there a pot out there (in the bottom pour flavor) that won't eventually leak if you don't clean it and do a little maintenance from time to time.
The Lee's more so than all the others combined. [smilie=1:
