1895 Chilean Mauser used the 7 X 57 round? Are there any other small ring Mauser in military riles other than the Chilean?

I have a Spanish 1916 that is still 7mm. I know of a bunch Steyer 1912 mausers still in 7mm for sale for about $200 at a dealer near here. They were from South America some place. They are a 98 type action.

So far as I know most of the Mexican Mausers are also small ring in 7X57.
Not only are they small ring but they are small ring 98 type designs with the 3rd locking lug, cock on opening and gas venting in the bolt body.

Theres the rare 1892 Spanish Mauser, a 7mm modification of the 1892 7.65mm Mauser sold to Turkey that had introduced the non rotating extractor. Spain had bought a number of the 7.65 1892 carbines for its navy, then contracted for an improved model in 7mm , this became the 1893 Spanish Mauser we are most familar with.

Heres the 1910 Mexican Mauser, with Small Ring 98 type action.

Also the Remington Rolling Block No. 5 was mostly made in 7mm.

Also in 7x57, the Mexican Model 1936 is a small ring I believe.

MANY South American countries used 7x57, over many decades so lots of them. Earliest was
the 1893 Mausers, then 1985 Mausers (small ring) and the Rem Rolling Block, then there were
a bunch of 1898 model, but not year produced, Mausers. As mentioned above, Chile, Mexico
Brazil and Spain are some of the most common.

I have a VZ-24 in 7x57, Steyr of Austria made a bunch of 1916 dated 98 Mausers in this caliber.

There have been a few autoloader military rifles chambered for the 7X57 cartridge. The Mexican Mondragon, and the SAFN for sure. I think France also had a few limited production autoloaders in 7mm at the begining of WW1 (Meunier A6 M1916 rifle ), not the 8mm Lebel autoloaders we are more familar with.
The A6 M 1916 used a non standard 7X57 cartridge but its unclear wheter the difference was in the case or simply the pointed bullet as opposed to the common round nose and charge best suited to its long recoil action.

PS
The Remington Lee military rifle was available in 7X57 as well as several other less common rimless cartridges.

Also some GEW 88 carbines rebarreled to 7X57 may have been used by the Boers.

All Mauser 1891, 1893, 1894, 1895, Swede M-38/M-94/M-96, and all other "cock-on-closing" Mauser actions are "small ring" actions.

The "cock-on-opening" Mexican Models 10/24/36, the Peruvian Model 1909, the German Kar 98 & 98a, the Czech G33-40, and the VZ-33 are all Small Ring Model 98 Mausers.

I was not aware the Peruvian 1909 Mauser was a small ring. It had a slightly longer than normal receiver ring, according to "Mauser Military Rifles of the World".

I do know they are rarely seen and are very collectable.

As a rule, many of the South American Mausers received rough treatment and improper cleaning, so most I have seen were wrecks.

The Czech VZ 16/33 and Gewehr 33/40 (t) are 98 Model small ring 7.92x57 Mausers.
