One:
Friday evening Abby and I departed for the old home town 4 hours south to visit Grandma May/Ma Brown. I took my tool box and dealt to the list of things mother needed help with. She is recovering well from her fall prior to New Year. Proud Grandmother:

Two:
I got to show Abby the house I grew up in, the schools I went to and the general area where I was raised. It was lovely to have the three generations 'home' again.

Three:
Stopped into my old favourite gun shop where I generally always find a bargain. One of the only decent, old style, nuts and bolts types of gun store left. Left with a Remington Nylon 66 MB wearing a Bushnell Banner 2.5X scope with post reticle.....for.......USD80.00. Really happy:

Needed another rifle like a hole in the head but it was CHEAP and there are not many in NZ.

Four:
Came home to find Sheryl and Kiera had adopted a pair of male cats in light of the death of Griffin this week. Domestic short haired boys, pale ginger and white and slightly fluffy. Really cuddly and 2 years old. Rehomed from The Cats Protection League.

Bella is fine. She just wants to be friends and knows the cats are the boss. The boys are still a bit shy around her.

I forgot to mention the cheap entertainment at mother's house. Her cat liberated a field mouse in the house at 4am. Mum is not a fan of mice. I thought it was funny, she did not.

I always enjoy reading of your lovely family weekends and events. Congrats on the new cats and good job on that Nylon 66, they are great rifles and you can't beat that price anywhere.
