I attended the Tri-State Gun & Knife show in Indianapolis today after work. The crowds were moderate. I found some Starline .44 Rem Mag brass for $20.95/100 which seemed reasonable. However, the same vendor wanted $59.95 for CCI small pistol primers and $69.95 for CCI Large Rifle primers. Powder was non-existant and most of the bullets were pulled Mil-Surplus. There were some AR-15 available along with a fair selection of handguns and longguns.

Bought the 44 brass, met my new source for linotype and purchased another 60 lbs to add to the 90 lb. I recently bought. I had to sort out the typeset for him. For $0.75 lb, I will do it again. He has two more buckets (5 gal) for me to go through next time I stop in. And, he said he would e-mail when he dug out the rest scattered in various spots around his building. Starline brass, linotype and our first grandchild in one weekend. I should count myself blessed.

Went to show in Fishersville, VA. Bricks .22 available, 70 to $90. in SR primers, $50/1000, a few S&B LP at $38. Odd powders here and there. Lot of non-gun tables. Did get a great country ham sandwich at the concession though ! AR bolt carrier groups $200-$300. Used dies at more than new prices. Plenty AR's and some nice old guns though ! To me looks like a lot of "regular" vendors don't have much so don't come - good amount of individual sales/sellers. Better do that while we can.

Sounds like you had a much better gun show than the ones around here. I asked one vendor about molds and he replied. "I sell that stuff on Ebay. I can get more for it there."

Congratulations on the new grandson! A future shooting/casting buddy.

I made a score on some brass today also. I picked up 200pcs (virgin) of 7x57 (Remington) for $21 per 100 AND they came in plastic MTM 50rd ammo boxes. I just checked Midways price on 7x57 and they list ot for $57 per 100 and its out of stock.
Then again the same man had and wanted to sell me LRP for $40 per 1K, that I walked away from since I didn't need them.

Grand-daughter and I would be proud to take her to the range someday. I'll have to look up a recipe for some pretty pink bullet lube when we get to casting together.

The last ones I went to were in late January / early February. I decided to wait 6 months before setting foot in one again. It was not good for my blood pressure. I've got about 4 months to go.

Boyscout, was that the 1500 show?
I doubt it. The last show was in mid-March. The next one is end of May-first of June.

Tri-State Gun & Knife at the National Guard Amory, Stout Field. Almost bought a Mosin Nagant Scope mount that required removing the rear sight and used the site mount to attach to. It looked pretty solid but didn't buy it. I don't enjoy the belly button-to-bottom crowds at the Indy 1500 much but this one was small and had limited offerings.

67609 Linotype is nice but this was better.
