I was reading this week in my Lyman 49th reloading handbook. There was a chart in there that said that WW's are softer that 20 to 1 pure lead/tin and 16 to 1 pure lead/tin. The BHN figure they gave for WW's was lower. WW lead is pretty hard after cast into an ingot ...... How is it that a 20 to 1 or 16 to 1 mix is harder than WW lead ?? I thought 20 to 1 was softer ...... Is this a typo in the book ??

There is a good chart part way down on this page to show hardness of materials.
