M14 Trade

Afriend has a M14, Boots Obermeter barrel and all the best in it, He wants to trade me for one of my muzzlloaders, Has any one here shot cast bullets in a M14, Thanks- Joe

Check to see if that Obermeyer barrel is Boots 5R form of rifling. It is slightly diffrent from normal rifling forms. I believe the trailing edge was a radious and it was 5 groove. For the longest time getting an Obermeyer barrel was a long wait as the military teams bought up most of his production. I think Krieger is making the 5r rifling now.
