I see that MiHec produced a .45 acp mold (now closed I believe). Is the mold he produced a true copy of the H&G #68 or his own design?

Yes, Probably THE most accurate copy out there today. Ballisticast is the follow on company to H&G so
they have all the original designs, too. Either will be perfect designs and very high quality molds.

As far as I know MP Molds is still in business making fantastic molds. I SURE HOPE you are wrong
about this!

Hello Bill, I didn't mean that MiHec was closed, just the group buys on that particular mold. Is there a link available to see a schematic of his version?

Mihec had some of these in stock lately, don't know if he still has any. Check this thread and shoot him a pm.

That original group buy thread is here (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?96920-MiHec-H-amp-G68-4-Cavity-Brass-452-200gr-SWC).

Bunch of threads discusing his H&G 68 clone.

I have one and once I got the sprue plate adjusted just right it cast nice bullets. I had, have, issues like are discussed in this (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?152968-MP-mold-question) thread.

Check and see if he has any (PM him) in stock. This is one of the ALL TIME
great designs and I expect that it will be in production by somebody as long as anyone is
allowed to own a 1911 in .45 ACP and make their own boolits, it is THAT good.

I have two MP 4 cavity H&G 68 copies, one HP, one plain base. They are outstanding. From my Sig 220, they want to print on top of each other. I heartily recommend this boolit design to anybody who casts for 45 ACP. You can't buy a better mold than an MP, nor a better design than the H&G68.

Bill do you have the exact stock number for the mold (mp) you are talking about?

These molds cast a beautiful round bullet that is extremely consistant with the weight from bullet to bullet in my 4-cavity mold.

In current page he calls it "HG#68 45 ACP LSWC ".

The pdf of molds in stock dated March 7, 2013 (latest I could find)
shows 12 of these in 4 cav solid point brass in stock for $110 each.

PM Mihec and have him ship you one, or go to the web site and try
to purchase, even though it shows "out of stock." Not sure that the
web site stock is up to date.
