Here is another one of my 22 jewels. It's a nice unmodified 33. I installed a Mossberg 7c, 8x scope on it by taking off the rear sight and installing a front type target block there and I epoxied a rear scope block on the back of the receiver bridge so, that it can be removed if anyone sould want to.

Old school chic! I like it! How does it shoot?

It just shoots ok. I get 10 shot groups at 100 yds of 3" with 1/2 in 2". Using Fed Champion (510). I need to try a few more brands and see if it tightens up.

I'm taking my new Win 69, dual sight out today to try out with the same ammo.

Man, that's a gem. Reminds me of dad's old M34 Rem (with the tubular mag) until I let #1 son have it. Bought in the 40s, it served the family well. Honest dings, etc. Several years ago, I sat down and cleaned the barrel really well and found pristine rifling. Don't think it had ever had a really good cleaning. Off to the range and it shot really well. I'll bet it has killed a boxcar load of hogs, boatloads of frogs and a pickup load of squirrels. Hold on to it./beagle

Beagle,
no problem, it will be mine as long as I'm alive. I'm 68 so, that won't be more than 25 years and then it will get to some new guy, unless my wife wants to keep it (she likes little 22's).
